The knife collection ABSOLUTE ML, designed Carsten Gollnick, has not only been awarded the iF product design award 2007 recently, but now also picked up the highly-prized iF gold award. The international top-class jury stated in its laudation:
“ABSOLUTE ML is technologically sophisticated with handles that feel good to the touch. A harmonious product - everything fits – quite literally a cut above the rest”.
Only 3 out of 207 awarded products in the Household / Residential category received the special award from the jury. A total of 2.293 entries from 35 countries represented a highly qualified and international competitive environment.
The blades used in the ABSOLUTE ML knife collection are made out of “Damascus” style multilayered steel with a VG10 core and guarantee an outstanding, durable cutting performance. The ergonomic handles, made from a special plastic compound, are both pleasing to the eye and the touch.
iF exhibition
All awarded products will be presented at the iF exhibition 2007 . It will be inaugurated on March 15, 2007 and takes place until August 2007. During this period 300.000 international visitors are expected to visit the fairground.
